The title "Citizens' Forum on Judicial Accountability"
identifies its convener, but not the perspective from
which all related matters have been and are being
considered. In fact in reporting on the forum to
Congress, the presiding panel is expected to project,
among other things, whether the proper scope of
judicial accountability seemingly hinges on
perspective more than established principals of due
process. Our goal is to articulate and evaluate the
logic of competing views on the topic. Through a
distinguished, deliberately bi-partisan panel and our
citizens' forum, we as private Americans endeavor to
help move Congress beyond the propaganda and on
to the business of appropriate judicial oversight.
